KEIJI HAINO | 灰野敬二（はいの・けいじ）
1952年5月3日千葉県生まれ。アントナン・アルトーに触発され演劇を志すが、ザ・ドアーズに遭遇し音楽に転向。ブラインド・レモン・ジェファーソンをはじめとする初期ブルースのほか、ヨーロッパ中世音楽から内外の歌謡曲まで幅広い音楽を検証し吸収。1970年、エドガー・アラン・ポーの詩から名を取ったグループ「ロスト・アラーフ」にヴォーカリストとして加入。また、ソロで自宅録音による音源制作を開始、ギター、パーカッションを独習する。1978年にロックバンド「不失者」を結成。1983年から87年にかけて療養のため活動休止。1988年に復帰して以来、ソロのほか不失者、滲有無、哀秘謡、Vajra、サンヘドリン、静寂、なぞらない、The Hardy Rocksなどのグループ、experimental mixture名義でのDJ、他ジャンルとのコラボレーションなど多様な形態で国際的に活動を展開。ギター、パーカッション、ハーディ・ガーディ、各種管弦楽器、各地の民間楽器、DJ機器などの性能を独自の演奏技術で極限まで引き出しパフォーマンスを行なう。170点を超える音源を発表し、確認されただけでも1500回以上のライブ・パフォーマンスを行なっている。 http://fushitsusha.com

作曲家、ピアニスト、歌手、編曲者。様々な現代音楽のスタイルでの作曲やパフォーマンスが特徴。彼女が作曲した音楽は、母国トルコのみならず、オーストリア、ドイツ、オランダ、英国、スウェーデン、デンマーク、イタリア、フランス、米国、ブラジル、日本、カンボジア、パキスタン、リトアニア、ロシア、モザンビーク等、世界各国で演奏されている。これまでにCDアルバム、「Just About Jazz Live 」(recjazz, 2005年)、「Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler」 (recjazz, 2006年)、「Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün」 (re:konstruKt, 2009年)、「Answers」 (pozitif, 2010年)、「Başka」 (linrecords, 2013年), 「Kadinlar Matinesi」(A.K. Müzik, 2017年)を発表。「Answers」は、ディスクユニオンのJazz Tokyo Weekly Chartにて第6位を獲得、「Başka」は第4位を記録。また、AK Musicより2017年４月発売のライブ盤「Kadinlar Matinesi」はトルコの女性作曲家たちをフューチャーしたコンサートシリーズである。作曲作品はthe Dartford Symphony Orchestra 、the Vellinger String Quartet (UK), Ensemble TRIS (Austria),、sa.ne.na Percussion Ensemble、Istanbul Modern Music Ensemble (Turkey)などに取り上げられている。Charles Mingus Composition Award 1998 (USA), やthe British Council Visiting Arts、Creative Collaboration in Music 2003 (UK), やFondazione Donna Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica’s Artist in Residence Award 2011(Italy) など、数多くの賞を受賞。イスタンブール大学国立コンサーバトリーで音楽を学んだ後、イスタンブール大学経営学科を卒業。その後、イスタンブールのミマール・シナン大学国立コンサーバトリーにて、さらに音楽教育を受ける。1996年には、奨学金を得てバークレー音楽大学に進学。1998年には同校のジャズ作曲学科を首席で卒業。イスタンブールに帰国後、2003年にはIstanbulTechnical UniversityのCenter of Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM)にて音楽の修士号を取得。 http://selengulun.com/ | http://facebook.com/selengulun | @selengulun
KEIJI HAINO (灰野敬二)
Born in Chiba on May 3, 1952. Inspired by Antonin Artaud he aimed for the theatre, but an encounter with The Doors stimulated him into music, where he has examined and absorbed a wide range of music from the early blues especially Blind Lemon Jefferson or European medieval music to popular songs across the world. In 1970 he joined the group “Lost Aaraaf” named after Edgar Allan Poe’s poem as a vocalist. Meanwhile, he started to work on home recordings and self-taught the guitar and percussions. In 1978 he formed a rock band “Fushitsusha,” and since 1988, after a recuperation period from 1983 to 1987, he has been internationally active in various forms including solo, groups such as Fushitsusha, Nijiumu, Aihiyo, Vajra, Sanhedrin, Seijaku, Nazoranai or The Hardy Rocks and DJ as “experimental mixture,” as well as collaborations with artists from different backgrounds, drawing the performance of the guitar, percussions, the hurdy gurdy, diverse wind and string instruments, local instruments from across the world and DJ gears to the extreme through unique techniques. SELEN GÜLÜN
As a leading contemporary musician in Turkey, Selen Gülün combines her Western music education and her Turkish soul in her work as composer, pianist, vocalist, and arranger. She attained critical acclaim internationally with her music being performed in 20 countries around the world including the USA, Brazil, Japan, Cambodia, Pakistan, Russia, Mozambique, Australia, and all around Europe. Gülün has released six albums: Just About Jazz Live (recjazz, 2005), Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler (recjazz, 2006), Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün (re:konstruKt, 2009), Answers (pozitif, 2010), Başka (linrecords,2013), Kadinlar Matinesi (A.K. Müzik, 2017). Answers reached #6 and Başka reached #4 in the Jazz Tokyo Weekly Chart. Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi’s electroacoustic album KAPI is a multicultural project with her long-term Italian collaborators Marcello Allulli and Emanuele de Raymondi. Kadinlar Matinesi (The Women’s Matinee), released in April 2017, was born out of her concert series featuring the works of women composers in Turkey. Her compositions have been premiered by the Dartford Symphony Orchestra and the Vellinger String Quartet (UK), Ensemble TRIS (Austria), sa.ne.na Percussion Ensemble, and Istanbul Modern Music Ensemble (Turkey). She has received many awards including the Charles Mingus Composition Award 1998 (USA), the British Council Visiting Arts, Creative Collaboration in Music 2003 (UK), and Fondazione Donna Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica’s Artist in Residence Award 2011 (Italy). She is working on a book commissioned by Fondazione Adkins Chiti in Rome, entitled “Woman Composers of Turkey” that will be published in 2017. She studied music at the Istanbul University and the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatories and graduated from Istanbul University’s Business Administration Department. In 1998, she received her B.A. in Jazz Composition summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music. She received her Master’s in Music at Istanbul Technical University’s Center of Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM). She taught Piano Performance, Music Theory, and Composition at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Music Department from 1998 to 2015. She has given lectures on new music and contemporary music at the Berklee College of Music (Boston), The New School (New York), the Malmö Academy of Music, the Utrecht School of the Arts, TEDx Bogazici University among others.
