作曲家、ピアニスト、歌手、編曲者。様々な現代音楽のスタイルでの作曲やパフォーマンスが特徴。彼女が作曲した音楽は、母国トルコのみならず、オーストリア、ドイツ、オランダ、英国、スウェーデン、デンマーク、イタリア、フランス、米国、ブラジル、日本、カンボジア、パキスタン、リトアニア、ロシア、モザンビーク等、世界各国で演奏されている。これまでにCDアルバム、「Just About Jazz Live (recjazz, 2005)、「Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler (recjazz, 2006)、「Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün (re:konstruKt, 2009)、「Answers (pozitif, 2010)、「Başka (linrecords, 2013), Kadinlar Matinesi(A.K. Müzik, 2017)を発表。「Answers」は、ディスクユニオンのJazz Tokyo Weekly Chartにて第6位を獲得、「Başka」は第4位を記録。また、AK Musicより2017年4月発売のライブ盤「Kadinlar Matinesi」はトルコの女性作曲家たちをフューチャーしたコンサートシリーズである。作曲作品はthe Dartford Symphony Orchestra the Vellinger String Quartet (UK), Ensemble TRIS (Austria),sa.ne.na Percussion EnsembleIstanbul Modern Music Ensemble (Turkey)などに取り上げられている。Charles Mingus Composition Award 1998 (USA), the British Council Visiting ArtsCreative Collaboration in Music 2003 (UK), Fondazione Donna Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica’s Artist in Residence Award 2011(Italy) など、数多くの賞を受賞。イスタンブール大学国立コンサーバトリーで音楽を学んだ後、イスタンブール大学経営学科を卒業。その後、イスタンブールのミマール・シナン大学国立コンサーバトリーにて、さらに音楽教育を受ける。1996年には、奨学金を得てバークレー音楽大学に進学。1998年には同校のジャズ作曲学科を首席で卒業。イスタンブールに帰国後、2003年にはIstanbulTechnical UniversityCenter of Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM)にて音楽の修士号を取得。

細谷紀彰 ベース

高校時代にTeens Music Festival静岡大会にて2000年、2001年と2年連続でベスト・ベーシスト賞を受賞。 2002年、アメリカ・ボストンのバークリー音楽大学に入学。ベースをMatthew GarrisonDavid Buda各氏に、作・編曲をGreg HopkinsKen Pulling各氏に師事。2005年同校Outstanding Performer Awardを受賞後、2006年パフォーマンス科、ジャズ作曲編曲両科をmagna cum laude(成績上位10%程度のものに送られる名誉の称号)で卒業。 2006年パフォーマンス科、ジャズ作曲編曲科を卒業。 2010年よりドイツ・ベルリンを中心にヨーロッパで活動。 2011年よりシンガーのRachelle Jeanty (ex.セリーヌ・ディオン) のバンドのベーシストとミュージカルディレクターを兼任。 2012年、ドイツのピアノトリオ・Falk Bonitz Trio の一員として、在ジョージアドイツ大使館主催の文化交流イベント「ドイツウィーク」に出演。 ジャズを中心に、ファンク、R&B、ポップス等、様々なジャンルのベースラインやグルーヴに精通。 これまで、2009年に日本でのリーダーアルバム「Noriaki Hosoya Trio Landscapes」をリリースしている他、2015年よりFalk Bonitz Trioのアルバム「Märzsonne」がドイツ語圏及び日本で発売開始。 2016年、東京に活動の拠点を移す。 2017年に、全編ベルギーレコーディングの「Noriaki Hosoya European Trio / Eye Of The Day」、ベーシスト森田悠介氏とのベースデュオ「Wurstkäse」をUplift Jazz Recordよりリリース。 オランダの楽器メーカー「Adamovic」、同じくオランダのアンプメーカー「Vanderkley」、ポーランドの楽器ケーブル「DL Cables」のエンドース・アーティスト。 これまでに拠点としていた日本、アメリカ、ドイツの他、イギリス、オランダ、ベルギー、イタリア、ルクセンブルグ、オーストリア、ジョージア、トルコ、イスラエルでの演奏経験を持ち、日・英・独3カ国語を駆使して国際的に活動中。

SELEN GÜLÜN

As a leading contemporary musician in Turkey, Selen Gülün combines her Western music education and her Turkish soul in her work as composer, pianist, vocalist, and arranger. She attained critical acclaim internationally with her music being performed in 20 countries around the world including the USA, Brazil, Japan, Cambodia, Pakistan, Russia, Mozambique, Australia, and all around Europe. Gülün has released six albums: Just About Jazz Live (recjazz, 2005), Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler (recjazz, 2006), Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün (re:konstruKt, 2009), Answers (pozitif, 2010), Başka (linrecords,2013), Kadinlar Matinesi (A.K. Müzik, 2017). Answers reached #6 and Başka reached #4 in the Jazz Tokyo Weekly Chart. Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi’s electroacoustic album KAPI is a multicultural project with her long-term Italian collaborators Marcello Allulli and Emanuele de Raymondi. Kadinlar Matinesi (The Women’s Matinee), released in April 2017, was born out of her concert series featuring the works of women composers in Turkey. Her compositions have been premiered by the Dartford Symphony Orchestra and the Vellinger String Quartet (UK), Ensemble TRIS (Austria), sa.ne.na Percussion Ensemble, and Istanbul Modern Music Ensemble (Turkey). She has received many awards including the Charles Mingus Composition Award 1998 (USA), the British Council Visiting Arts, Creative Collaboration in Music 2003 (UK), and Fondazione Donna Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica’s Artist in Residence Award 2011 (Italy). She is working on a book commissioned by Fondazione Adkins Chiti in Rome, entitled “Woman Composers of Turkey” that will be published in 2017. She studied music at the Istanbul University and the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatories and graduated from Istanbul University’s Business Administration Department. In 1998, she received her B.A. in Jazz Composition summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music. She received her Master’s in Music at Istanbul Technical University’s Center of Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM). She taught Piano Performance, Music Theory, and Composition at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Music Department from 1998 to 2015. She has given lectures on new music and contemporary music at the Berklee College of Music (Boston), The New School (New York), the Malmö Academy of Music, the Utrecht School of the Arts, TEDx Bogazici University among others.

NORIAKI HOSOYA

Electric and Acoustic Bass player / Composer / Arranger Noriaki Hosoya was born November 20th, 1982 in Shizuoka, Japan. His first musical experience was cello. After he quit playing cello, he started to play electric bass at age 14. When he was in high school, he was awarded “best bass player” at Teens Music Festival both in 2000 & 2001. In 2002 he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. He studied bass under Matthew Garrison, Dave Buda, Dave Clark, etc., composing and arranging under Ken Pullig, Greg Hopkins, Ted Pease, and Scott Free. He also attended the master class of Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets). In 2005 he was honored the Outstanding Performer Award, and in 2006 he graduated Berklee College of Music majoring in Performance & Jazz Composition and Arrangement. He moved to Tokyo in 2006 and participated in various gigs and recordings such as Jazz-oriented instrumental, pop/rock music, jingles, TV shows, etc. During the summer of 2008, he spent time in Germany and gained more experience in Europe-based Jazz. At the same time, he started playing Acoustic Bass after he went back to Tokyo. In 2009 he recorded an album called “Noriaki Hosoya Trio Landscapes” which was released in Japan through Disk Union Company in 2010. In 2010, he moved to Berlin, Germany. From 2011, he accomplished musical director of Canadian singer Rachelle Jeanty (ex. Celine Dion). In 2015, one of his main project Falk Bonitz Trio released their debut album “Märzsonne” & it is distributed by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi. In 2016, he moved back to Tokyo, Japan. In 2017, he released his leader album “Noriaki Hosoya European Trio / Eye Of The Day” and his co-leader album “New Experimental Electric Bass Duo Wurstkäse / Wurstkäse” from Uplift Jazz Record Japan. He has been currently working as a professional performance and recording bass player in many occasions. He is currently endorsed with Adamovic Basses, Vanderkley Amplification, and David Laboga Cables.
