Si inaugura con un progetto inedito in Italia una rassegna di esperienze musicali presso gli spazi dell’Associazione Culturale InFunzione. CARTE BLANCHE è un progetto di Paolo Soriani, che nel corso della stagione 2017/18 vedrà soprattutto progetti inediti, prime assolute, incontri tra musicisti ed altri ambiti artistici (pittura, poesia, letteratura, video-arte, fotografia), il tutto a stretto contatto con il pubblico che sarà coinvolto in presentazioni, letture, incontri prima e dopo i concerti, il tutto condito da aperitivi e sfizi culinari.

KAPI PROJECT: GÜLÜN / ALLULLI / DE RAYMONDI
L’amicizia e l’affinità musicale tra Marcello Allulli, Emanuele de Raymondi e Selen Gülün, nata durante la frequentazione dei corsi al Berklee College of Music di Boston (USA), ha portato i tre musicisti a sviluppare l’interesse, nel corso degli anni, per un progetto multiculturale. Le musiche originali del trio sono la sintesi, dei viaggi, dei luoghi ed esperienze vissute dai singoli musicisti e attraverso un vero e proprio lavoro di squadra, ognuna delle composizioni ha sviluppato la propria anima più profonda. Il progetto é nato da veri e propri sketches musicali di De Raymondi, idee che, insieme al sassofono di Allulli, sono diventate composizioni con delle linee melodiche sempre più definite e campioni per costruire sample originali. Gülün ha trovato affascinante l’idea di creare musica e tessiture sonore anche separatamente dal gruppo e il suono del piano e della voce si sono adatti con naturalezza a queste composizioni. Quando si sono incontrati a Roma nel marzo 2013, i tre artisti hanno portato nuove idee, veri e propri schizzi compositivi e testi poetici, aiutando a definire i brani con le loro voci musicali Il disco KAPI ne é la testimonianza, un lavoro discografico realizzato e registrato tra Roma e Istanbul presso gli studi della Bilgi University. KAPI, che significa “Porta” in turco, é stato pubblicato nel 2016 da EvArt – Arte ed Eventi e sulle piattaforme digitali nel 2017. https://itun.es/it/AKYdib Nel mese di marzo 2017, Allulli e Gülün si sono riuniti per #KAPIjapan, il primo tour in Giappone e si sono esibiti nei più prestigiosi club di Tokio e Chiba. In questo tour, hanno aperto la “porta” per le future collaborazioni interdisciplinari, come la musica, la pittura-video dal vivo e la poesia. After the #KapiJapan tour in March and Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival performance in Istanbul in May, Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi are back together in Rome!
GÜLÜN / ALLULLI / DE RAYMONDI
Longtime friendship of Marcello Allulli, Emanuele de Raymondi, and Selen Gülün led the three musicians to come together and create this multicultural project. As it took a few years to complete the album, the music in KAPI is the result of many layers of time, travels, places, and experiences. Through real teamwork, each of the compositions found their deeper soul. Emanuele de Raymondi had already begun to compose some of the pieces in this album and wanted to record Marcello Allulli’s saxophone playing to create samples to build up original sketches. When they dreamed about the future sound together, they thought Selen Gülün’s piano playing and vocal timber would fit just perfectly to this music, and asked her to join the project. Creating and performing music separately with Marcello and Emanuele before, Selen found the idea charming and the project started. When they met in Rome in March 2013, Selen and Marcello brought ideas to the prepared compositional sketches, helping to shape the pieces with their musical voices. Any time the trio had the chance to come together to perform, they used these original forms as sketches to improvise, and to layer more sounds and ideas on top. Finally, they recorded the album live in Istanbul in February 2015 at the Bilgi University Music studios. They also recorded some of Selen and Marcello’s compositions.
KAPI (which means “door” in Turkish) was published by the Italian label EvArt in November 2016 and released on digital platforms in 2017.
In March 2017, Allulli and Gülün came together for an introductory tour in Japan and performed at some of the best jazz clubs in Chiba and Tokyo. You can check out tour photos/ videos at http://facebook.com/gulunallullideraymondi and #KAPIjapan hashtag on Instagram.
In May 2017, Gülün / Allulli / de Raymondi performed at the Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival in Istanbul.
