Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi @ Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival, Istanbul

On May 9th, Zorlu PSM will host Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi, a multicultural project which brings together the music of different geographies, as a part of Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival!
Composer, pianist and vocalist Selen Gülün has received critical acclaim from all around the world with her ability to harmonize her training in Western music with the music of Turkey. Having released her albums titled Just About Jazz Live (2005), Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler (2006), Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün (2009), Answers (2010) and Başka (2013), she will release the album titled The Women’s Matinee in March 2017.
Marcello Allulli, who is one of the most renowned saxophone players of Italy, has taken the stage in prestigious venues and festivals around the world with many esteemed local and international ensembles such as MAT Marcello Allulli Trio, Maria Pia de Vito Rita Marcotulli Quintet, Glauco Venier Ensemble, Ceccarelli-Allulli duo guest Greta Panettieri, Mufloni, RAJ Trio with Michele Rabbia and Ettore Fioravanti Quartet.
Mostly known with his works as a composer and sound designer, Emanuele de Raymondi carried on his career with multimedia shows, installations and film scores. Raymondi also released two electro acoustic albums on the Zerokilled label, collaborating with Turkish clarinet virtuoso Oğuz Büyükberber in one of them.
These three talents came together to form the project titled Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi and their debut album KAPI was recorded live in Bilgi University in November 2016. The album featured the piano, synthesizer and vocals of Selen Gülün, accompanied by the tenor sax of Marcello Allulli and the electric guitar and electronics of Emanuele de Raymondi that come together to capture new sounds and spaces derived from two different geographies.
Gülün / Allulli / De Raymondi, the project which performs a multicultural collaboration, will be at Zorlu PSM on May 9th as a part of Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival!
